Job description

Position Overview

Onyx Aerospace (Onyx) is seeking an experienced GWAC Professional Project Manager to lead execution and growth of the company's NASA SEWP VI Category C Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC).

This individual will provide leadership across program execution, customer engagement, business development, contract management, and delivery of advanced mission services supporting the whole of government. The position will be responsible for managing all aspects of Onyx's SEWP VI program, including contract administration, program execution, customer engagement, opportunity development, technical solution oversight, cybersecurity compliance, and business growth. The SWEP Manager serves as Onyx's primary interface with the NASA SEWP Program Management Office (PMO), federal customers, industry partners, and internal leadership.

The ideal candidate combines strong government experience with a broad understanding of mission-specific digital engineering, software, data analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, communications, and systems integration solutions that support NASA and other federal aerospace and defense missions. Success in this role requires the ability to balance operational excellence with strategic business development while supporting federal agencies in delivering innovative IT mission solutions. This position serves as the primary customer interface for SEWP activities while working closely with executive leadership to expand Onyx's services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Contract Management

  • Lead execution and overall performance of Onyx's SEWP VI contract, ensuring successful delivery of customer task orders.
  • Serve as the primary interface with NASA, federal customers, industry partners, and internal leadership.
  • Manage program planning, staffing, financial performance, risk management, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop program metrics, executive reports, and customer briefings.
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), and SEWP ordering procedures.
  • Oversee contract reporting, ordering guides, and customer communications in coordination with Contracts, Finance, and Program Controls organizations.
  • Coordinate customer briefings, technical exchanges, and program reviews.
  • Support development of Statements of Work (SOWs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs), and technical solution recommendations.
  • Promote customer satisfaction through responsive communication and high-quality program execution.

Business Development & Growth

  • Support business development activities including customer engagement, capture planning, proposal development, and strategic partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with NASA, DoD, civilian agencies, and industry partners.
  • Support planning, proposal development, teaming strategies, and customer engagements.

Technical and Contract Leadership

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams delivering mission-specific digital engineering, software, data analytics, and systems integration solutions that support NASA and other federal aerospace and defense missions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations, contract requirements, cybersecurity standards, and company quality processes.
  • Support execution of projects ensuring compliance with NIST SP 800-171, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), Microsoft 365 GCC High, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity requirements.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and outstanding customer service.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering Management or a related discipline. A combination of applicable experience and an associate’s degree will be considered
  • Minimal 5 years of progressively responsible experience managing federal government programs or contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting NASA, DoW, or other U.S. Government customers.
  • Experience managing complex programs .
  • Strong understanding of government contracting, and IDIQ/GWAC contract vehicles.
  • Experience managing digital engineering, software, data analytics, and systems integration solutions that support NASA and other federal aerospace and defense missions.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting NASA SEWP, CIO-SP, GSA, OASIS, Polaris, or similar GWAC federal contract vehicles.
  • Experience supporting NASA, DoD, DHS, FAA, or other federal civilian agencies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft GCC High, NIST 800-171, CMMC, RMF, Zero Trust, or other U.S. Government cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success growing government or IT business through customer engagement, capture management, and proposal development.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications, digital engineering, DevSecOps, and Agile methodologies.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
