In this Electronic-Mechanical Technician role, you will be responsible for the assembly, testing and troubleshooting of EHT power system products prior to delivery to customers. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, a team player, and detail oriented to help us deliver world-class power system capabilities to our customers.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and other regulations, policies and related projects, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder).

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Install circuit board components using approved soldering techniques for surface mount and through-hole mount components on multi-layer printed circuit boards
  • Construct wiring harnesses using wire splicing, crimping, various connector installations, and soldering on a multitude of different connectors and cable types.
  • Assemble power supply subsystems including circuit boards, mechanical structures, and thermal management systems
  • Utilize standard laboratory equipment to assess and troubleshoot electronic assemblies
  • Construct test fixtures for validating and troubleshooting power systems and PCBs
  • Document assembly and testing data for integration into internal and external reports
  • Read, understand, and follow engineering assembly drawings, bill of materials, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, supporting documentation in English
  • Use and maintain various hand tools to assemble mechanical components into larger assemblies
  • Interface with vendors and contract manufacturing partners to facilitate part procurement and manufacturing support via phone and email

About This Team

Our technician team works closely with the engineering teams to validate all aspects of the product, from manufacturability of the assemblies to final functional checkout. Lessons learned by this team in functional tests and assembly are fed back to engineering to create a continuous improvement cycle of design validation, ensuring the highest product quality achievable is delivered to our customers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Technical associate degree or graduate of electronic technical school or civ/mil equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience reading schematics and drawings in English
  • Hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical assembly, soldering, and basic electrical test equipment
  • Must have experience with the operation and use of basic machine shop tools
  • Capable of operating standard electronic test equipment; oscilloscopes, DMM, frequency generators, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment
  • Knows when to ask questions to efficiently drive towards personal and team goals
  • Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient, and able to switch from one task to another
  • Needs to work well with others and be able to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English

Preferred Qualifications


  • 3+ years of related technical experience and NPI in power electronics industry
  • Knowledge of safety SOPs for working with high-voltage or high-power systems
  • Military PMEL or TMDE training

**Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $49,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $104,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. EHT is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package offer, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
