Qorvo's RF Module Design Engineering Internships are offered in our High Performance Analog division, within Radio Frequency and Analog Products design organization supporting both Defense & Aerospace and Infrastructure business units. Specific projects and responsibilities will be determined based on the business and technology needs at the time of the internship assignment.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Contribute to design and analysis of RF modules used in Cellular Base Stations, Radar, Satellite, GPS systems.
  • Meet performance requirements while also considering size, cost, footprint, and schedule requirements and constraints.
  • Produce designs with challenging specifications that may require trade studies to make decisions on the path of the design.
  • Adapt to new customer requirements for ruggedness, ESD, and quality
  • Work closely with other engineering and project management functions to meet design targets.
  • Work as a member of a team to contribute design schematics, simulations, and real lab data
  • Work with signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and power meters to characterize and compare simulated data to real lab data
  • Maintain detailed design documentation, follow established design flows, and policies

Qualifications:

  • Students currently enrolled in MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics programs. Undergraduate students in senior year with sufficient course work and laboratory experience who are planned to continue in a graduate program can also be considered. 
  • Students must have completed upper-level RF analog circuit design and Electromagnetics courses. Any experience with designing RF circuits with subsequent fabrication and testing is highly desirable.
  • A working knowledge of radio system expected.
  • RF Design Software Exposure: Very good working knowledge of one or more of the following RF design tools required - ADS, AWR, FEM, HFSS, Momentum, Dynamic Link, Python, Spotfire, Matlab
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Self-Starter with good communication skills
  • Effective organization skills for systematic planning and scheduling
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information
  • Detail oriented to ensure design and delivery of high yielding products
  • Be able to enjoy working in fast paced work environment

Competitive hourly pay commensurate with experience: $31/hr - $42/hr (subject to change dependent on physical location) 

Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. Qorvo reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as external competitiveness and internal comparability. 

Base compensation is one element of Total Rewards offered at Qorvo. More information on the Total Rewards package can be shared upon request.
