SCOPE: This position provides technical product support to the organization, dealers and customers.  The duties range in scope from configuration documentation to making field visits to customers and dealers as required. This position may require interaction with national and/or international dealers and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Support the bid function in its entirety
  • Product related projects planning and scheduling
  • Provide consultation and training on product structure and process
  • Interact with other functions / departments to make sure activities related to product lines are well aligned and executed effectively.
  • Research and follow through on features and options to ensure proper configuration documentation and BOM data is available.
  • Ensure pricing and cost data is available and consistent with pricing guidelines
  • Maintain configuration workbooks with latest features and options
  • Support CR review and analysis; work with Product Managers to identify new option candidates for standardization.
  • Gather and maintain configuration support information i.e., dimensional characteristics, weights, etc., and ensure data is available to external customers.
  • Assist Product Managers to meet their goals and manage essential configuration details from engineering, operations and service.
  • Support regional sales and international sales technicians and dealers as needed.
  • Continuously improve bid related processes.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business related field is preferred with a minimum of 0-2 years of experience 
  • Associate's degree with a minimum 5 years work experience 
  • Knowledge of fire rescue vehicles is preferred 
  • Experience with configuration workbooks and continuous improvement processes
  • Must be familiar with engineering and manufacturing processes and costing and price analysis
  • Must have working knowledge of computer including Microsoft applications
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Occasional standing, walking, or moving about the office/manufacturing plant.
  • Ability to lift or carry items up to 10-15 pounds (such as files, laptops, or office supplies).
  • Manual dexterity to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Visual ability to read documents, screens, and reports.
  • Clear verbal communication for meetings, phone calls, and presentations.
  • Ability to focus on detailed tasks for sustained periods.
