How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Execute Targeted Claims Management & Follow-up: Work and resolve aged, denied, or unpaid claims, conducting thorough root-cause analysis to secure proper reimbursement from payors.

  • Resolve Missing Slips & Clinical Documentation: Track down, audit, and reconcile missing charge slips and incomplete billing documentation to ensure all clinical services are promptly billed and unbilled revenue is minimized.

  • Master High-Priority Workqueues & Documentation Reports: Monitor, analyze, and clear specialized daily tracking tools-including 3 and 5 Doc reports-to drive strict compliance and prevent billing backlogs.

  • Drive Financial Account Reconciliation: Assist the billing team with daily and monthly financial reconciliations, auditing patient accounts, verifying ledger entries, and resolving balancing discrepancies.

  • Maintain Meticulous Account Integrity: Document all claim actions, provider outreach, and payment reconciliations within the billing system with exceptional precision.

  • Optimize Daily Revenue Workflow: Leverage strong time management to prioritize competing daily tasks, balancing claims processing, documentation tracking, and account auditing seamlessly.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • Medical Billing Experience Required: Direct background working in healthcare billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle operations, with a firm understanding of EOBs, claim denials, and charge entries.

  • Sharp Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision when auditing financial reports, identifying missing charge documentation, and reconciling complex patient accounts.

  • Proven Time Management & Prioritization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive reports (such as 3 and 5 Doc queues) and execute daily worklists without missing deadlines.

  • Problem-Solving Agility: Ability to investigate missing information, communicate cross-functionally with clinical departments, and resolve billing holds efficiently.

  • Technical System Competency: Proficient in navigating Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, medical billing software, and financial tracking platforms.
