Job Summary

The Mortgage Servicing QC Analyst performs detailed audits of servicing activities to ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations, investor guidelines, and internal policies. This role identifies errors, analyzes risk trends, validates data integrity, and partners with servicing teams to drive corrective actions.

Job Duties

  • Conduct monthly and quarterly mortgage servicing quality control audits to ensure compliance with Federal, State, investor, and agency requirements.
  • Review collection files, early payment defaults, and transitions to loss mitigation to ensure adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines.
  • Audit servicing functions including loan boarding, ARM setup, periodic statements, escrow .administration, mortgage insurance billing, fee assessments, customer service interactions, and paid-in-full processing.
  • Evaluate servicing and collection call recordings to ensure compliance with regulatory, investor, and customer service standards.
  • Validate data integrity within servicing systems to ensure accurate loan information and reporting.
  • Review credit bureau reporting for accuracy and proper reporting of delinquent or negative credit information.
  • Document audit findings, analyze trends, and prepare comprehensive compliance reports and risk summaries with recommended corrective actions.
  • Communicate clear, accurate, and actionable audit results to servicing teams to support timely remediation.
  • Escalate any evidence of fraud or misrepresentation in accordance with established protocols.
  • Follow established QC policies, procedures, and audit scopes to ensure consistency and integrity of reviews.
  • Create and complete servicing QC reviews within ACES QC software.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to staff and management within the QC function.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements, procedures, and system enhancements.
  • Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Experience
    • 2-5 years’ experience in mortgage servicing and/or Servicing QC experience.
    • Experience on MSP Servicing and /or ACEs software preferred.
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of servicing systems, regulatory requirements, and operational process.
    • High-level organizational, research, analytical, and attention to detail.
    • Communicates information and can state problems or challenges to be resolved in a clear, concise, courteous, nondiscriminatory and professional manner, and be able to provide clarification if necessary.
    • Result-driven mindset with the ability to adapt to evolving business requirements.
