Job Summary:
Cardinal Integrated Technologies Inc is seeking a Senior Python Developer with AWS experience to work with Principal Financial Group. The role involves hands-on coding in Python, transforming the client reporting infrastructure using cloud technology, and integrating Wells Fargo IAA Account data into the system.
Responsibilities:
• Able to work with guidance on software development/solutions.
• With guidance, conduct analysis and development, elicit requirements, write correct and clean coding, automated testing, debugging, documentation, quality assurance review, implementation and maintenance.
• Able to work with guidance on multiple layers of the solution if needed.
• Participates in technical design of features.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud - must have AWS experience.
• Hands on cloud development experience in AWS.
• Strong communications skills and ability to work independently.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree (preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience).
• 4-6 years work experience or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience as an IT professional.
• Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field.
• Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products.
• Basic planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills.
• Proficiency with database applications.
• Knowledge of mainframe, distributed and/or web programming language.
• Must be able to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
• Must have the desire to learn new technology and continuously grow.
• Ability to work on cross-functional teams and collaborate with both IT and non-IT partners.
• Some travel may be required, including overnight stays.
• May be required to provide on-call support.
Preferred:
• Basic leadership skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Financial Services/ Investment Management company experience.
• Track record of 1+ years working on dedicated projects/programs.
