The ASSOCIATE QUALITY PLANNING ENGINEER will develop, document, and support the quality aspects of job travelers by incorporating applicable customer drawing/model requirements, customer/ industry specification requirements, Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and business requirements. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in reviewing customer documentation to ensure requirements are understood and communicated to the appropriate teams.

Support the development of quality verification plans by helping outline inspection steps and requirements.

Work with internal teams to gather information needed for inspection planning and quality checks.

Help collect and organize data (such as cycle times) to support quality and process improvements.

Participate in team meetings and cross-functional reviews to learn quality processes and provide input.

Assist in aligning inspection plans with engineering drawings and CAD outputs.

Support the Inspection team by helping update and maintain quality documentation.

Provide general support to Engineering, Operations, and Business Development on quality-related activities.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineer or related field and 2+ years related engineering experience; preferred Aerospace/Defense Industry experience.

Or 4+ years of manufacturing or quality related experience in aerospace/defense industry.


KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Ability to read, interpret, and follow detailed blueprints, diagrams, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures for implementation into quality verification plans.

Fluent in reading and interpreting GD&T.

Self-motivated, driven, and organized, with an aptitude for understanding manufacturing and inspection process interaction.

Skilled in collaborating with internal teams and external customer technical representatives.

Accountable for the quality aspects of job travelers.

Effective communicator with the ability to engage internal and external customers at the appropriate technical level.

Able to manage projects.

Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.

Possess problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.

Critical thinker with strong attention to detail.

Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
