Description
SAIC is looking for an Engineering Technician III in Crane, IN to support the U.S. Navy.
Job Duties Include:
  • Provide test and evaluation, troubleshooting, lot acceptance, qualification, engineering analysis, documentation, procedure/process creation, shipment/receipt and vendor coordination of batteries
  • Provide test and evaluation of various battery chemistries, including Li-ion, Lithium Iron Disulfide, Lithium Calcium and Lead Acid
  • Support battery testing that will consist of testing temperature/humidity cycling, pressure/altitude, acceleration, vibration, and mechanical shock

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or related field. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of degree
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. Interim Secret needed to start
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Ability to read electrical drawings
  • Must have excellent communication skills

Desired Skills:
  • Understanding of technical, voltage, test equipment
  • 5-7 years practical experience in a power source laboratory
