Job description

About The Role

The Senior Engineer position will work on three or more product lines that are typically high complexity. This role will participate and lead engineering related projects and independently make job-related decisions. A Senior Engineer will be required to solve engineering problems using established practices to choose the best solution and communicate technical information internally and externally.ย 

Responsibilities

  • Review order build sheet to verify the product specification is complete and correct and develop a preliminary design configuration and bill of material.

  • Utilize 3D CAD software to design structure, systems and other components needed to meet specifications.

  • Create drawings, CNC files, bills of material, and other design documentation. As well as process engineering change orders.ย 

  • Review design and document quality of complex designs.

  • Use, maintain, and develop engineering product data management tools.

  • Work towards a given design schedule with consistent manager interaction.ย 

  • Provide information across multiple departments and interact with customers.

  • Apply state and federal regulations to ensure product meets legal requirements.

  • Perform engineering calculations using pre-defined methods, as well as develop for others to use.ย 

  • Specify required testing, evaluate, and apply results of functional, load, strain gauge, accelerated and/or field testing and apply results to verify functionality and structural integrity.

  • Seek and implement changes to continuously improve the safety, quality, delivery, and cost of Trail King products.

  • Calculate pricing for standard and custom products.

  • Mentor less experienced engineering team members.

  • Participate and lead new product development projects.

  • Perform advanced static structural finite element analysis.

Candidate Requirements

Associate's degree with minimum 18 years' experience or Bachelor's degree with minimum 6 years' experience.ย
