The Microfluidics Engineering Co-op for Cytiva is responsible for supporting the development of microfluidic mixers for lipid nanoparticle encapsulation of RNA therapeutics.

This position is part of the Microfluidics Engineering Team located in Vancouver, B.C. and will be on-site. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

What you will do:

  • Implement analytical lab techniques for nanoparticles
  • Design, fabrication and characterization of microfluidic devices
  • Application development for new microfluidic devices
  • Assist in transitioning new formulation techniques into future products

Who you are:

  • Studying Nanoscience, Nanotechnology Engineering, Engineering Physics, Biophysics, Biomedical Engineering or any other multi-disciplinary degree.
  • Strong biological lab techniques.
  • Knowledge of fluid dynamics or thermodynamics.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience with the design and building of prototype instruments.
  • Experience with Solidworks or other 3D cad software.

The annual salary range for this role is 45k-50k CAD/year This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
