Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Production Material Coordinator based out of Annapolis, MD.

The Production Material Coordinator supports manufacturing operations by ensuring production material is planned, ordered, received, staged, and returned accurately and on time. This role interfaces closely with production, planning, Global Supply Chain, quality, and logistics to maintain material availability, resolve shortages, and support ontime delivery to customers.

What You'll get to Do:

  • Coordinate material flow to and from the production floor, including receiving, kitting, staging, and returns.

  • Monitor material requirements, shortages, and demand changes in the ERP/MRP system and work with planning and supply chain to resolve issues.

  • Create and manage material transfer requests, pick lists, and related transactions in SAP.

  • Reconcile inventory discrepancies; support cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.

  • Track status of open purchase orders, work orders, and material moves to support ontime production schedules.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors, planners, and buyers to prioritize material in support of key programs and delivery milestones.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company procedures and audit requirements.

  • Support continuous improvement activities related to material flow, kitting, and shopfloor logistics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 6+ years of relevant material control, production, or logistics experience; or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience.

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.

  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and basic material transactions.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.).

  • U.S. citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance.

  • Ability to move and position objects weighing 40 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with SAP S/4 or similar ERP for material management.

  • Prior experience as a production material coordinator, planner, or stockroom/warehouse specialist.

  • Familiarity with aerospace/defense manufacturing or highly regulated environments.

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement, lean, or 5S initiatives.

  • Forklift certification

  • Current Secret level security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $50,882.00 - $121,755.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
