Job description

Title : Product Owner
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: long term Contract
Required Skills/Experience
Experience as Product Owner executing projects with a distributed team structure
• Experience playing the Product Owner role for at least 3 years, experience in the insurance Domain will be added advantage
• Certified Product Owner (CPO certification - CSM) Preferred
• Experience in any technical skills like AWS, java, bigdata, tableau is must.
• Articulates, elicits and inspires others to execute and support a compelling product vision and strategy
• Clearly draws and articulates the boundaries of that vision while providing enough latitude for an Agile team to creatively solve problems
• Determines and articulates Minimum Viable Product; that is, identifies those portions of an overall vision that are minimally necessary to achieve customer objectives
• Diligently having managed Requirements & Releases using Scrum principles, practices, and theory with a distributed team structure
• Extensive experience requirement gathering & analysis to ensure consistency & comprehensiveness of the requirements. Familiar and comfortable in dealing with evolving requirements and frequent changes that naturally follows from this incremental approach
• Proven track record in performing functional decomposition of large system and analysis of various use-case flows
• Have extensive experience interacting with clients and end-users
• Ability to develop test scenarios and cases for various types of functional tests: unit tests, integration tests, system tests & regression tests
• Have sufficient experience performing functional (UI driven) tests
• Basic knowledge of RDBMS & SQL will be a big plus
• Experience working for ISV in product development role
• Excellent written and verbal skills. Should be able to articulate business functionality, suggestions for improvements and functional queries in clear and concise manner
• Very high commitment level
• Should be culturally aligned to Agile way of working, self-starter, easily asks questions, good team player, willingness to do what it takes including documentation, data entry etc.
• Translate High-level requirements from Product backlog to sufficiently detailed functional & feature requirements that developers can take for implementation
• Work very closely with SME & Business stakeholders to define the Epics & Stories in a product backlog
• Constructs and communicates an Agile team's product release plan to stakeholders
• Collaborates with other Product Owners to manage inter-team dependencies
• Work very closely with Scrum master's to define & review feature list for various product
• Work very closely with Scrum master's & the Scrum Team so that they can elaborate Epics/Stories into sub-tasks as atomic units for development
• Serves as the primary liaison between the Business/Sponsors and Scrum Masters (SCRUM Team)
• Work with SCRUM champion and Scrum Masters in prioritizing product backlog
• Participate in defining & reviewing functional & system test scenarios & test cases
• Participate in functional tests
• Plans for and facilitates planning sessions
• Elicits customer and stakeholder feedback on the quality and accuracy of delivered product features
