Product Engineer


Position Summary:


Responsible for sustaining existing products by guiding designers in daily work and standards application. Creates prototype drawings by adapting existing components and designs. Supports sales, and manufacturing with accurate, timely, manufacturable configurations that meet customer requirements while leveraging existing product platforms.


Key Responsibilities:


Sustaining Activity

Guide designers in daily work and standards application

Support change documentation as prototypes transition to production


Inquiry Activity:

Develop preliminary drawings from customer requirements

Reconfigure existing designs, assemblies, and components for new applications

Ensure configurations meet design standards, product rules, and constraints

Modify CAD models, assemblies, and BOMs for custom configurations

Ensure drawings are accurate and aligned with manufacturing capabilities


Qualifications

Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field

2-5 years in design, drafting, or application/configuration engineering

Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, or similar

Strong attention to detail within defined design frameworks

Ability to translate technical requirements into practical designs

Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment

Familiarity with BOM structures and ERP systems

Knowledge of machining, fabrication, and assembly processes
