Job description

The Executive Producer, Digital Content leads the station's digital and social media strategy, overseeing daily content, breaking news coverage, and a team of digital producers. This role drives compelling, visual storytelling across platforms while ensuring accuracy, speed, and strong audience engagement.
This EP will also not only manage the digital team but lead the editorial employees in digital and social media efforts developing best practices for effective digital execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, coach, and develop digital producers; edit and provide feedback on web scripts and content.
  • Plan, prioritize, and manage daily, weekly, and monthly digital content with a strong emphasis on video and social platforms.
  • Manage and coordinate breaking news, weather and sports coverage across all digital channels.
  • Maintain and update the station website with accurate, timely content.
  • Organize and distribute published content across branded social media accounts.
  • Innovate with creative video storytelling for multi-platform use.
  • Identify and distribute high-interest local and regional stories, with a focus on Oklahoma coverage.
  • Monitor audience engagement and feedback, escalating issues to station leadership when necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the News Director, newsroom managers, and other station departments on a regular basis.
  • Use digital analytics to guide content strategy, audience growth, and performance goals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a digital or television newsroom environment.
  • Management or team-lead experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, editing, and news judgment skills.
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn about sports content and coverage strategies on digital and social platforms. 
  • Proven ability to grow and maintain digital and social audiences.
  • Strong video production and editing skills; graphic design experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and project management tools such as Asana.
  • Experience using digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
