Rutgers, University Correctional Health Care is seeking a Part Time Nursing Assistant for Southwoods State Prison, located in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The Nursing Assistant provides direct care to inmates under the direction of a Physician, Physician's Assistant or a Registered Nurse and or Licensed Practical Nurse. Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Implements physician/associate practitioner orders within the scope of practice under the auspices of a Registered Nurse.
  • Assists with feeding, bathing, and other inmate activities of daily living (ADL's) as needed within the Health Service Unit.
  • Assists the physician/associate practitioner with procedures as needed, including preparing the inmate for the examination.
  • Assists with the cleaning, sterilization and securing of equipment within the Health Service Unit.
  • Maintains or assists in maintaining the supply stock in the Health Service Unit by ordering in a timely and appropriate manner.

Minimum Salary - 21.040

Mid Range Salary - 21.540

Maximum Salary - 22.190
