Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer with deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in building and managing large-scale AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, CI/CD platforms, and containerization technologies. You should be passionate about automation, scalability, and operational excellence.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As an AWS Platform Engineer, you will:

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure following industry and company best practices
  • Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for multi-account AWS environments
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Harness for automated deployments
  • Work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional engineering and operations teams
  • Develop and implement IaC solutions for container orchestration solutions using ECS and EKS
  • Lambda and related AWS services
  • EFS, EBS, and S3 with proper lifecycle policies
  • Implement robust IAM policies, security controls, and compliance standards
  • Design and configure VPC networking, subnets, routing, and security groups
  • Manage efforts within agile teams to ensure timely delivery of platform initiatives
  • Identify and proactively address infrastructure risks and performance bottlenecks
  • Provide technical expertise in estimating and planning infrastructure projects
  • Maintain accountability for the overall delivery and operational excellence of the platform

What We Value

  • 10+ years overall experience in IT infrastructure and cloud engineering
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services at scale
  • 4+ years of experience in cloud architecture and infrastructure design
  • 4+ years of experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
  • 4+ years of experience with Harness or similar CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Strong expertise in AWS core services:
    • Compute: EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda
    • Storage: S3, EFS, EBS
    • Networking: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, NAT Gateways, Transit Gateway, Load Balancers
    • Security: IAM, Security Groups, KMS, Secrets Manager
  • Deep understanding of container technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, ECS)
  • Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, deployments, and operations
  • Experience building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment strategies
  • Experience with monitoring and observability solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, Load Balancing, CDN)
  • Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to mentor and guide team members
  • Experience with AWS cost optimization strategies and FinOps practices
  • Nice-to-Have Skills
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) or AWS DevOps Engineer certification
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
    • Experience with additional AWS services (RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, Redshift)
    • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and Chaos Engineering
    • Prior experience in financial services or highly regulated industries
    • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures
    • Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
    • Prior working knowledge of Jira and Confluence
    • Solid experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban)
