Job Summary (List Format) for Platform Engineer (Mid-Level) – DFS Platform Services
Role Overview:
- Contribute to the design, building, operation, and maintenance of internal development/operations platforms.
- Enable faster, more reliable software delivery for development and operations teams.
- Work closely with Lead and Senior Platform Engineers in a mentorship-rich environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
1. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support development workflows.
2. Author and maintain Terraform code for GCP infrastructure provisioning per established standards.
3. Support and maintain Salesforce/GearSet deployment pipelines, including troubleshooting and documentation.
4. Maintain SonarQube and GitHub integration for static code analysis and security scanning.
5. Manage build artifacts using GCP Artifact Registry.
6. Support observability stack, including Splunk log forwarding, monitoring, and alerting.
7. Support GKE cluster operations (workload deployments, namespace management).
8. Manage GCP resources including compute, networking, IAM, and secrets across all environments.
9. Migrate manually provisioned GCP resources into Terraform.
10. Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint delivery.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years (60 months) of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or systems administration (at least 2 years in a public cloud environment; GCP preferred).
- 3 years (36 months) of GCP experience (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC networking, IAM, Secret Manager).
- 3 years (36 months) experience with Terraform (reading, writing, modifying code).
- 3 years (36 months) building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, or similar).
- 3 years (36 months) experience with GitHub and Git workflows.
- 2 years (24 months) experience in Agile delivery environments.
- 1 year (12 months) experience with Splunk for log analysis/observability.
- 1 year (12 months) experience with static code analysis tools (SonarQube, etc.) within CI/CD.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Terraform Associate certification.
