About the Role

As an HR Operations Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our Associates. You will manage day-to-day HR Operations, programs and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will partner closely with Associate Relations, HRBP & TA partners , Payroll, and the business to work through and find constructive resolution to employee inquiries and escalations. The HR Operations Specialist will manage key components of the HR Operations portfolio, with a focus on associate relations and benefits operations, absence management, accommodations and other special projects.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Providing guidance and consultation to associates, managers and HR & TA partners on Capital policies and programs

  • Proposing, developing, and implementing improvements to existing processes and documentation for the HR & AR Operations, Benefits, and developing new processes as the program and business needs evolve.

  • Determining the root cause of a problem or issue and provides recommendations for resolution

  • Remaining current on best practices and legislation impacting benefits, HR & AR Operations, and recommending improvements to develop and maintain company policies, procedures and processes. Ensuring compliance with federal laws and Capital One policy / procedures

  • Reporting on trends using data to highlight key metrics and flag emerging risks and issues

  • Ensuring data accuracy and consistency in all HR systems

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience managing HR programs, specifically with a focus on operational excellence

  • Previous experience providing HR Operations services to internal associates, People Leaders and Senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient knowledge of Google Suite (including Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and Workday or other HRIS platforms

  • The ability to communicate effectively across various audiences, both written and verbal

The expected annual salary range for this position is $76,500 to $87,400. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
