Job Summary

Enterprise Payments is the fastest growing business segment in KeyBank, encompassing a leading commercial card, merchant, foreign exchange, liquidity, and fintech product set across a wide array of industry verticals and client segments. Our solutions are the software and payments engine that allows businesses to tackle their unique challenges and better engage with their customers, from a mom-and-pop restaurant all the way to a publicly traded company. When a business chooses to bank with Key, we bring not only the bank to the client, but we also offer innovation and consultative expertise with the help of our fintech products and partnerships to take our clients' banking experience to the next level.

The Product Associate on the Core Treasury Fraud Product Team is responsible for supporting product analytics, supplier and client enablement, and cross functional execution across KeyBank's Commercial Payments fraud prevention portfolio. This role supports the execution of the overall business strategy by turning data into insights, identifying opportunities to grow product penetration, and helping translate fraud and payments trends into clear actions for product, risk, operations, and technology partners.

The Product Associate partners closely with Product Managers to support business activation strategies that grow the fraud product portfolio, while also supporting product data operations, reporting, and analytics that inform decisions. We are looking for a business minded, self-starting analyst who leads with commercial thinking and uses data as a tool to influence outcomes.

Essential Functions

Business Activation and Growth Support

  • Partner with Product Managers to plan and execute business activation strategies that grow adoption, penetration, and revenue across the fraud product portfolio.
  • Support supplier and client enablement campaigns end to end, including targeting, prioritization, execution tracking, and post campaign performance review.
  • Translate portfolio insights into clear recommendations for Product Managers, Payment Advisors, Field Client Managers, and Business Development partners.
  • Build and maintain playbooks, talking points, and enablement materials that help internal teams position fraud products with clients.
  • Track pipeline, funnel, and conversion metrics; identify bottlenecks and recommend actions to accelerate growth.
  • Support pricing analysis, opportunity sizing, and win or loss reviews that inform commercial strategy.
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales enablement, and digital adoption partners to align activation efforts with broader Commercial Payments priorities.
  • Represent the analyst voice in cross functional working sessions and bring a business first perspective to product, risk, operations, and technology conversations.

Product Data Operations, Reporting, and Analytics

  • Build, run, and maintain queries, dashboards, and recurring reporting that support product performance monitoring and leadership updates.
  • Develop and maintain data views for utilization, activity, client segments, revenue trends, and risk indicators across the fraud portfolio.
  • Prepare monthly performance, risk, and operational reports; conduct initial analysis and review findings with Product Managers.
  • Support ad hoc data requests, audit and regulatory inquiries, and issue research with accurate, well documented analysis.
  • Partner with technology and data teams to improve data quality, definitions, and governance for fraud product metrics.
  • Continuously improve reporting efficiency by automating manual steps and standardizing recurring outputs.

General

  • Participate in forecasting, performance measurement, monitoring, and assessing client experience impacts across the fraud portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Risk and Compliance to ensure initiatives align with Key's moderate risk profile.
  • Partner with internal technology, third party vendors, and other strategic partners to support the delivery of new client solutions.
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, always acting professionally, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, economics, analytics, or related field (preferred)
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (preferred)
  • OR equivalent experience (required)

Work Experience

  • One or more years of experience in product analytics, business analysis, operations, or client resolution (required), or
  • One or more years of experience in a payments or commercial rotational program or relevant internship (required)
  • Understanding of Commercial Treasury Banking products and services (preferred)
  • Exposure to fraud, payments, or risk related products (preferred)

Skills

Business Activation Skills

  • Business acumen: Understands commercial banking, payments, and fraud product economics, and can connect activities to revenue, penetration, and client outcomes.
  • Commercial curiosity: Naturally asks "so what does this mean for the business" and pushes analysis toward action.
  • Ownership and initiative: Self-starter who identifies growth opportunities, drives them forward without close direction, and takes accountability for results.
  • Client and partner orientation: Thinks about how internal and external partners will use the output, and tailor's recommendations to their needs.
  • Storytelling and influence: Frames insights as clear narratives that help Product Managers and sales partners make decisions and act.
  • Strategic thinking: Aligns day to day work with broader Commercial Payments and fraud portfolio priorities.
  • Collaboration: Works effectively across Product, Sales, Payment Advisors, Field Client Managers, Marketing, Risk, and Operations.
  • Written and oral communication: Produces clear, concise materials and presents confidently to a range of audiences, including leadership.
  • Project management: Manages multiple activation workstreams and prioritizes based on business impact.

Data, Reporting, and Analytics Skills

  • Data driven decision making: Uses operational, financial, and qualitative data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
  • Query and analysis proficiency: Ability to write and maintain queries against relational data sources; SQL experience preferred.

  • Automation and efficiency mindset: Looks for ways to streamline repetitive reporting and reduce manual effort.

Traits We Are Looking For

  • Business minded first, analyst second. Leads with the commercial question and uses data to answer it.
  • Go getter mentality. Takes initiative, owns outcomes, and does not wait to be asked.
  • Comfortable in ambiguity. Operates effectively in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve and answers are not always clear.
  • Curious and coachable. Asks the next question, seeks feedback, and learns quickly across products, processes, and data.
  • Bias for action. Moves from insight to recommendation to activation with urgency and follow through.
  • Team oriented. Builds strong relationships across product, risk, operations, technology, and sales, and shares credit generously.
  • Trustworthy with data. Cares about accuracy, checks the numbers, and is comfortable saying "let me confirm" before publishing.
