Associate Production Peak Season - Hot Side
Job Summary:
Indiana Packers is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team as Associate Production Peak Season team members in the Hot Side. This full-time opportunity is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on working in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment. In this role, Production Associates play a critical role in harvesting, skinning, cutting, trimming and eviscerating our delicious quality pork products while supporting the company's commitment to quality, food safety, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of production tasks, which may include harvesting, skinning, trimming, cutting and eviscerating meat products.
  • Operate production machinery and equipment as needed while following proper procedures.
  • Work efficiently with team members to help meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work efficiently with team members to help meet daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and ready for production.
  • Support food safety and quality assurance standards in accordance with company policies and USDA regulations.
  • Assist supervisors and management with additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be available to work from August 2026 - February 2027.
  • Able to work in a hot or cold, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.
  • Previous experience in meat processing, food production, or manufacturing is helpful but not required.
  • Comfortable working with raw meat/or carcass parts.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive motions.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and works well in a team environment.
  • Rehire criteria is 120 days of waiting period from most recent termination date. Three times rule, candidates are not eligible if they worked for Indiana Packers 3 times already.
  • Committed to following all company policies, including food safety and workplace safety protocols.

Work Environment:
This position is performed in a production environment where team members may be exposed to cold, heat, humidity, outdoor conditions, dust, fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level may be loud, and hearing protection is required. Team members must follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment while working in these conditions.
Physical Demand:
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
Team members must be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift objects up to 50 lbs., and perform strenuous physical work in a production setting. The role may require lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying, bending, twisting, repetitive movement, and the use of abdominal and lower back muscles for support. Good manual dexterity, multi-limb coordination, quick arm and leg movement, stamina, and vision are required.
