Job Summary and QualificationsRole Summary: Provides direct patient care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes. Aids perioperative team by scrubbing and caring for the patient before, during and after surgical intervention. 

What qualifications you will need:

Required Education: Surgical Technologist with less than 5 years Surgical Technologist experience: graduate of an approved Surgical Technologist course with an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or Applied Science Surgical Technologist with 5 or more years Surgical Technologist experience: None LPN in Surgical Technologist role with less than 5 years Surgical Technologist experience: graduate of an accredited LPN program with an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or Applied Science LPN with 5 or more years Surgical Technologist experience: None

Preferred Education: Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or Applied Science.

Required License: Surgical Technologist: Current BCLS certification. Certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire for individuals hired after August 1, 2007. LPN in Surgical Technologist role: Current BCLS certification. Current NC license. Certification is to be obtained within one year of date of hire. 

Required Experience:  Surgical Technologist: Three years surgical technician experience with an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or Applied Science OR Five years surgical technologist experience in an operating room setting. LPN in Surgical Technologist role: three years surgical technologist experience with an Associate of Science in Surgical Technology or Applied Science OR five years surgical technologist experience in an operating room setting 

Preferred Experience:5 years surgical technologist experience
