WHAT YOU'LL DO
Our Network Engineers work with a broad range of products and service from the top and most respected brands in the industry such as HP, Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, Lenovo, Meraki, Aruba, Ruckus, and many others. You'll work with our clients on design, implementation, security and troubleshooting in the following areas; Microsoft Windows Server, Wireless Network Design, Microsoft Cloud Services (Microsoft 365, Azure) Sophos, Cisco Firewalls and more.
You'll partner directly with clients to design, implement, secure, and optimize modern network environments that support critical business operations. The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the clients' network infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the stability, security, and optimal performance of network systems to support our clients' operations. The Network Engineer will work closely with other IT professionals to troubleshoot issues, upgrade systems, and implement new technologies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pre-Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales phase.
  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN) and configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
  • Maintenance and Support: Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
  • Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Troubleshoot network issues and outages and provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
  • Security: Implement security measures and ensure the network is protected against threats. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Collaboration: Work with other IT staff to develop network architectures and solutions that meet business needs. Collaborate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
  • Performance Monitoring: Use network monitoring tools to optimize network performance and ensure the efficient operation of networks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and advancements in network engineering to continuously improve the network infrastructure.

Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Working knowledge of computer networking principles
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware and software (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar platforms)
  • Strong understanding of network protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF
  • Strong understanding of network security practices and tools
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of experience in computer networking
  • Two or more years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure
  • Confidential security clearance
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments

WHERE YOU'LL WORK
You'll work in a professional office environment while supporting clients both remotely and onsite. This role includes collaboration with engineering, sales, and technical teams, along with approximately 35% travel to customer locations throughout the region.
