Description

SAIC is seeking a Network Engineer Associate to support our Navy team in San Diego, CA.

Job Description:

  • Ensure system hardware/software installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring that system is made operational and available, at times specified by the customer.
  • Ensuring the system is configured in accordance with the Program’s Configuration and Data Management Plans.
  • Prepares the analysis of short/long term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission, and signaling.
  • May conduct network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies as well as internal studies of network performance and traffic analysis.
  • May evaluate new technology.
  • Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture; providing information for hardware and software selection; and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • Conducts testing of network systems. 

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelors degree and zero (0) or more years of college coursework in a technical field; Additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with networking architecture.
  • Experience troubleshooting and maintenance of network systems.
  • Proficiency in testing networking systems.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.
