Hours Per Week: 40 hours
Hiring Range: $80,204.80- $104,270.40
The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain the organization's network and telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Configure and support enterprise network devices including routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VPN technologies, load balancers, and network management systems.
  • Administer and optimize local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks, internet connectivity, and remote access technologies.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues affecting system reliability, availability, and security.
  • Lead network troubleshooting efforts and serve as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement network architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, equipment replacements, and infrastructure expansion projects.
  • Configure and maintain network security controls including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, network segmentation, and access controls.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, server, application, and clinical teams to ensure secure and efficient delivery of technology services.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve operational efficiency, performance, and security.
  • Develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, configuration standards, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Support cloud networking initiatives and integration with Microsoft Azure and other hosted platforms.
  • Assist in budgeting, capacity planning, and lifecycle management of network infrastructure assets.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as required.
  • Mentor Network Technicians and provide technical guidance on projects and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory requirements and organizational security standards.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None. May provide technical leadership and mentoring to Network Technicians and other IT staff.

Education, Training & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field preferred. Associate degree with equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible network engineering experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise network environments in a healthcare setting preferred.

Certifications / Licensure:
  • Certified Network Professional certification is preferred.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License required.
