Summary of Purpose
Implements and maintains enterprise client platform solutions including VDI environments, endpoint management, enterprise printing & faxing, classroom technologies, and Microsoft 365 services. Works under direction of Senior Client Services Platform Engineer to deliver platform projects, maintain configurations, and support end-user computing infrastructure.
Typical Duties
This description is intended to indicate the types of duties and responsibilities requested of the employee assigned this title. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required:
  1. Work with Information Technologies to meet the needs of end user computing and classroom technologies for OCC staff, faculty and students.
  2. Acquires, maintains, and expands knowledge of relevant product offerings, current support standards, and methods of support delivery to provide technically accurate solutions; ensures security procedures are implemented and enforced.
  3. Reviews IT trouble tickets and service requests; analyzes, draws conclusions, and provides recommendations that strive for continuous improvement of customer service.
  4. Develops, defines, and communicates user/technical service procedures for products/services supported by OCC.
  5. Create and maintain enterprise technical documentation including, configuration standards, and technical guides.
  6. Serves on appropriate committees; participates in development of campus initiatives.
  7. Develop configuration standards and technical specifications for endpoint and classroom technologies aligned with business requirements and security policies.
  8. Evaluate vendor proposals and conduct technical due diligence for platform technology acquisitions.
  9. Seek feedback and mentoring from Senior Client Services Platform Engineer to develop technical and professional capabilities.
  10. Help to maintain existing enterprise client service platforms.
  11. Execute assigned project tasks within established timelines and quality standards.
  12. Performs other related duties, as assigned.
  13. Ability to work additional hours, as needed.

Knowledge and Skills Required
  • Proficiency with endpoint hardware, Microsoft operating systems, MS productivity tools, including standardized image creation and software packaging.
  • Knowledge of endpoint management platforms, such as Intune, SCCM, and Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), with the ability to configure, deploy, and maintain these solutions.
  • Experience with virtualization and VDI technologies, including Omnissa Horizon View, App Volumes, Thin Apps, RDS hosts, and Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM).
  • Familiarity with VMware infrastructure, including vSphere, vCenter, and vSAN.
  • Understanding of LAN/WAN architecture and network operations relevant to endpoint and platform performance.
  • Ability to execute automation workflows for provisioning, software deployment, and configuration management.
  • Skill in monitoring platform performance, identifying issues, and implementing resolutions proactively.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, staying current with emerging technologies in endpoint management and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree (Information Systems or related field preferred) preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of experience in Information Technologies, including at least two (2) years of experience supporting enterprise endpoint or end user computing solutions. Experience with higher education environments preferred.
