The duties of an associate merchandiser are to help manage display merchandise on behalf of a store. Under the direction of a lead merchandiser or manager, an associate merchandiser may help design and set up a display, assess how customers interact with it and track purchase patterns to adjust how much merchandise the store should keep in stock. They may also monitor inventory and verify orders with vendors. Qualifications vary but often include a high school diploma, retail experience, and visual design skills.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required
