Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a Digital Media Specialist to provide comprehensive social and digital media support including maintaining websites, ensuring content accuracy, adherence to client policies, creating captivating written and visual content for websites and social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram), website and social media analytics, support branding consistency, and identifying and implementing innovative cutting-edge strategies. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience delivering Digital and Social Media support services, and documented experience in public sector / government industry. Must be able to work onsite in Pearl Harbor within the hours of 8am – 4pm, Monday – Friday. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret-level federal security clearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Digital Media Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to craft and execute a comprehensive digital media strategy that aligns with Federal Defense client mission objectives.
  • Emphasize strategic planning, content creation, platform management, audience engagement tactics, analytics utilization, and compliance monitoring within Federal Defense client guidelines.
  • Implement a structured approach to ensure the strategy's adaptability to changing communication trends and organizational goals.
  • Content Creation and Management:
  • Generate engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, articles, infographics) tailored to resonate with diverse audiences while upholding Federal Defense client messaging guidelines.
  • Regularly update and manage social media platforms with high-quality content that reflects Federal Defense client values and objectives.
  • Ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of content delivery across various digital platforms.
  • Platform Management and Engagement:
  • Actively oversee and maintain Federal Defense client social media profiles, fostering continuous interaction, and responsiveness with the audience.
  • Employ tailored engagement tactics such as contests, polls, live sessions, and community-driven initiatives to enhance audience participation and retention.
  • Implement strategies to increase platform visibility, reach, and user engagement metrics.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
  • Conduct regular analysis of social media metrics, audience behavior, and campaign performance to derive actionable insights.
  • Generate comprehensive reports and data-driven assessments to optimize strategies for greater impact and alignment with communication objectives.
  • Utilize analytics to refine content, engagement strategies, and platform management for enhanced effectiveness.
  • Compliance and Security:
  • Ensure strict adherence to Federal Defense client directives, security protocols, and confidentiality standards in all digital communication efforts.
  • Safeguard the integrity and credibility of Federal Defense client online presence by maintaining compliance with established guidelines and policies.
  • Collaborative Coordination:
  • Foster collaborative relationships across departments to maintain consistent branding and messaging throughout all digital platforms.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in digital communication to continually optimize strategies.
  • Project Management:
  • Support project management, task management, stakeholder engagement/management, reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), maintain contractual alignment and compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Digital and Social Media support services.
  • Ability to be onsite at defense base in Pearl Harbor, HI.
  • Work onsite 8am – 4pm HST, Monday to Friday.
  • Existing or ability to obtain at least secret security clearance.
  • Ability to develop digital and social media strategies, support website content fulfillment, develop communication publication/content, photo/video capture on-site.
  • Work independently while maintaining client alignment and corporate firm alignment.
  • Operate day-to-day activities with very little to no executive guidance.
  • Project Management and report development capability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree in Communications, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience developing and managing social media, websites, and digital communications strategies
  • Prior military or defense client experience.
  • Professional and executive presence in order to support senior / executive level clients.
  • Federal government, public sector, or regulated environment experience is a plus.
Work Location Requirement

This is an onsite position based in Pearl Harbor, HI. Candidates must be available to work from the designated client office location at a minimum from 8am – 4pm HST, Monday to Friday.
