Sr. Associate, Marketing Operations

LA28 is looking forย a master of organization who thrives in high-stakes, fast-paced environmentsย and is passionateย about joiningย the Digital Engagement & Marketingย (DIG)ย team.ย ย ย 

Theย Sr. Associate, Marketing Operationsย will serve as a critical engine driving the DIG department forwardย with an operational mindset.ย She/heThis personย willย work closely and collaborativelyย with the overallย Marketing teamย and cross-functional stakeholders including but not limited toย central planning, procurement,ย community, communications, andย theย peopleย team.ย Thisย role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, managing project timelines, cross-functional campaigns, and critical Games-time planning.ย A successful candidate willย work as a project manager on select projectsย across social media,ย digital content,ย website, mobile app,ย emailย marketingย and fan/spectatorย communications.ย This person will be a key protector of the LA28 brand and a key contributor in building a legacy for the Olympic and Paralympic Movement through the lens of the fans and athletes.ย ย 

The ideal candidate is aย detail orientedย and hands-on leader who thrives at the intersection ofย digital marketing, project management, andย communications.ย This role will report to the VP,ย Marketingย andย Digitalย Engagement.ย 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Managementย ย 

  • Act as a primary project manager for the VP, Marketing and Digital Engagement, ensuring special projects are tracked, milestones are met and deliverables are executed flawlesslyย 
  • Build,ย maintain, and manage master project timelines forย specific projects and organizational milestonesย 
  • Serve as the central connective tissue between core digital functions, working closely with Integrated Marketing,ย Social Media, Digital Content, Web, App, and Email Marketing teamsย ย 

ย Operations & Games-time Planningย 

  • Ownย the administrative and operational planning for Games-time execution, ensuring schedules, resources, and workflows areย optimizedย from Pre-Games to Games-timeย readinessย 
  • Establish andย maintainย project management frameworks, templates, and tools like Smartsheet and Asana to streamline communication and workflows across all marketing sub-functionsย 
  • Facilitate key cross-functional alignment meetings, capturing action items and riving accountability across internal teamsย 

ย Stakeholder Relations & Presentationsย ย 

  • Represent DIGย as a point of contactย and ensure alignmentย on shifting priorities, deliverables, and deadlinesย for cross-functional stakeholders, external stakeholdersย such as USOPC, IOC, and IPC, and partnersย ย 
  • Draftย presentationsย on key projects toย show progress reportsย and milestone deliverablesย 
Background & Requirements:
  • Minimumย 4+years of direct experience in sports business, marketingย operationsย or related marketing environmentย ย 
  • Strong operational and program execution skillsย requiredย with a keen focusย on accuracy, organization, and delivering high-quality work under tight deadlinesย 
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously without letting detailsย slip through the cracksย ย 
  • Excellent presentation preparation skills and ability to work successfully with varied audiences (internal and external stakeholders)ย 
  • Proficient in project managementย tools such as Smartsheet and Asanaย ย 
  • Knowledge and first-hand experience within the sports marketing industry.Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movements is a plusย ย 
  • Clear communicator with attention to detailย ย 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels in the organizationย ย

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.ย 
  • The majority ofwork will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.ย 
  • The LA28 office is anopen floorplanworking environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in anopen cubicleenvironment.ย 
  • Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.ย 
  • Perform other duties asrequired; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.ย 

The annual base salary range for this position is $73,000.00 - $98,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28's operational business needs and applicable law.
