POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Logistician provides advanced logistics and integrated logistics support (ILS) expertise in support of the NOAA. This role supports the development, acquisition, operation, and sustainment of NOAA marine, aviation, and associated mission systems by translating operational requirements and engineering design data into effective life-cycle support solutions.

The Senior Logistician ensures logistics considerations are integrated into system design and program execution, maintains quality and compliance throughout the project life cycle, and supports program goals through disciplined logistics analysis and documentation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Translate operational requirements and design data into life-cycle logistics and support strategies.
  • Perform system, equipment, and software functional and performance analyses to define sustainment and engineering support requirements.
  • Establish logistics support requirements and standards for acceptance, maintainability, and compliance with design and maintenance criteria.
  • Ensure logistics quality and consistency throughout the project life cycle.
  • Review logistics and program documentation for compliance with standards, requirements, and program goals.
  • Support integration of logistics considerations into system design, acquisition, and operational readiness activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associates degree related to logistics analysis, engineering, or related discipline
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems functional analysis, logistics support analysis, and engineering support
  • Strong knowledge of integrated logistics support and life-cycle management principles.
  • Experience supporting complex technical systems in operational environments.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills with engineering and program teams.
