Job description

WHAT IS THE BRAND?

Mashburn is an Atlanta-based apparel and lifestyle brand launched in 2007 with a single passion: taking care of people. The company designs, manufactures, and markets a nationally recognized assortment of menswear (Sid Mashburn) and womenswear (Ann Mashburn) alongside other high-quality, iconic brands. We want to be the world's go-to omnichannel lifestyle shop - a place that embodies service and style, accessibility, and luxury, and, for us, the very best of everything. Most excitingly, our story is still unfolding, and incredible growth opportunities lie ahead ...

WHAT IS THE JOB?

The Logistics Associate will be responsible for the coordinating and tracking of all bulk production inbound and outbound shipments from our mills to factory and factory to Mashburn Warehouse. A successful candidate will develop a deep knowledge of tracking, analyzing and monitoring total company spend on freight and guide us in the right direction for future carrier contracts. Associate will be support to logistics manager and has opportunity to build out the logistics department.

WHAT ARE THE RESPONSIBILITIES?

Inbound Logistics

  • Daily communication with freight forwarder, origin factories, and the Mashburn DC to track shipment status
  • Assist origin factories with scheduling freight pickups
  • Send ASNs to Mashburn DC ahead of bulk shipments
  • Communicate delivery timing and any discrepancies (short shipments, damage, wrong counts) to the DC and Production team
  • Flag urgent/time-sensitive shipments to the DC in advance of arrival
  • Own shipping supply inventory (labels, poly bags, cartons) and set reorder points to avoid stockouts
  • Support customs broker document requests - invoices, packing lists - for timely clearance

Data Maintenance & Reporting

  • Maintain the ship log for all shipments, including cost per shipment
  • Validate HTS classifications with Production/compliance as needed
  • Track and report freight cost trends monthly to Production leadership (cost per unit, cost per shipment by mode/origin)
  • Attend weekly product status meetings
  • Coordinate outbound sample shipments across teams
  • Create, maintain, and communicate the weekly TOP (Top of Production) sample shipment schedule

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, import coordination, or production support (apparel/fashion industry strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with a WMS or ERP system (ShipHero, Counterpoint, or similar) a plus
  • Comfortable working across time zones with overseas vendors and freight partners

Essentials

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills - able to quickly build cross-functional relationships and influence outcomes without direct authority
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; genuinely enjoys finding the needle in the haystack
  • Resourceful problem solver with a "no task is too small" attitude
  • Flexible, positive, and creative under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Proactive - anticipates issues and opportunities rather than waiting to be told
  • Reflects our core values: Hard Work, Hopefulness, Helpfulness, Honesty, Nimble, Humility, and Honor
