Logistics Manager (Hands-On Operations)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Logistics Manager to oversee daily warehouse, shipping, and transportation operations. This is an active leadership role that requires working alongside the warehouse team while managing logistics, inventory, customer service, and freight operations.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing warehouse operations, coordinating shipments, operating a forklift, and driving a truck and trailer when needed. This individual will also serve as a key point of contact for customers, vendors, and carriers to ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective deliveries.
Essential Responsibilities
Warehouse & Operations
  • Lead and support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift.
  • Operate a truck and trailer as needed for local deliveries and material transportation (CDL not required).
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
  • Ensure orders are shipped accurately and on schedule.
Logistics & Transportation
  • Coordinate domestic freight shipments from the warehouse to customers.
  • Schedule and manage third-party carriers, freight companies, and transportation providers.
  • Track shipments and resolve transportation issues to minimize delays.
  • Negotiate freight rates and maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics partners.
  • Monitor shipping performance and implement process improvements.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and oversee inventory movement.
  • Coordinate storage, receiving, and replenishment activities.
  • Conduct inventory audits and investigate discrepancies.
  • Work closely with purchasing and production teams to ensure product availability.
Customer Service
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding shipping schedules, delivery status, and logistics concerns.
  • Resolve shipping issues and customer complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
Leadership & Compliance
  • Supervise warehouse personnel and coordinate daily work assignments.
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and workplace safety.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety policies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or supply chain management.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely drive a truck and trailer when required (CDL not required; daily driving is not expected).
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience coordinating freight carriers and transportation logistics.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems, Microsoft Office, or other logistics software.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience with import/export shipping and customs documentation.
  • Knowledge of domestic transportation regulations and freight management.
  • Experience implementing warehouse process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
