Job Description:
UToledo Health and the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences has a faculty position opening for a OBGYN - GYN Subspecialist in the Department of OBGYN.
Join our team at the University of Toledo Medical Center and ProMedica Toledo Hospital. Our institution features a medical school hospital with a fully accredited OBGYN residency program, active robotic program, gender health seed grant, is currently home to approximately 20 active residents.
The Department of OBGYN boasts a well-established Level 4 Maternal and Level 3 Neonatal Childbirth unit and Gyn practice in addition to other Gyn subspecialties. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, opportunities for leadership development and growth in a supportive and dynamic environment with potential opportunity for resident/student education leadership. The primary practice location is situated within a large academically affiliated hospital system with options for academic leadership in teaching, such as residency program administration or clerkship administration, as well as involvement in research initiatives. Additionally, there are plans for co-recruitment to form a robust specialty group that includes additional MIGS and/or URPS subspecialists.
Position offers leadership opportunities such as Clerkship Director or Residency Director.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive consultative care to a large local population of GYN patients
  • Call structuring through already existing OBGYN hospitalist group and residency program
  • Primary practice site within affiliated institution, although support of a small OBGYN presence (outpatient clinic) at a non-OBGYN inpatient medical school hospital an option and eventual plan after additional recruitment
  • Potential option (if desired) for income augmentation via inpatient OBGYN hospitalist program

Minimum Qualifications:
  • MD/DO degree
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology and MIGS or URPS
  • Subspecialties in any of the following:
  • Experience in an academic setting and a strong interest in teaching and mentorship is a plus
  • Current and unrestricted licensure in the State of Ohio required, prior to beginning the position.
  • Experience in working as a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating with them to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
