Job description

Set in the heart in one of Americaโ€™s most visited historic destinations, Taste of History LLC is excited to operate various kiosks throughout the National Mall. Our Kiosk Associates will provide elevated, friendly customer service while selling delicious food, snacks, and souvenirs in a fast-paced, iconic setting. Each interaction helps create a memorable experience for guests from around the world, all while working among the nationโ€™s most recognizable monuments and memorials. Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
  • Work in food preparation, packaging, cashiering and fulfilling beverage orders
  • Prepare and serve light food items and beverages, following health and safety standards
  • Adhere to Company recipes and Safe Food Handling procedures
  • Complete all required food and safety logs in a timely and efficient manner
  • Work individually and with the team, to surpass expectations in an efficient, motivated and positive, can-do manner
  • Operate the cash register, handle payments accurately, and assist with POS transactions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kiosk, including counters, equipment, and storage areas
  • Restock items as needed
Position Requirements:
  • Excellent customer service and people skills
  • Must be able to work a variety of day, night, weekend, holiday shifts
  • Be able to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to meet and/or exceed customer expectations
  • Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fast-paced environment, in close proximity to other people and will involve frequent bending, twisting, squatting and lifting up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally
Education and Experience:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience: Six months food and beverage experience preferred
