Job description

As a Security Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities


   Execute security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing security solutions to satisfy security requirements for internal clients (e.g., product, platform, application owners)
   Design, code and test high-quality production code
   Perform software maintenance and improvements using knowledge application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines. 
   Design and develop scalable applications for cloud
   Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
   Resolve high impact production issues and ensure smooth flow of business applications
   Drive and select cost-effective security solutions. Implement best practices, new policies, and emerging trends to enhance the strategic roadmap
 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


   Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 3 years of applied experience.
   Experience developing security engineering solutions
   Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
   Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
   Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (Jenkins/Selenium Grid)
   Proficient in coding in one of more languages such as java (Spring, Spring boot)/Python, must have experience in development and deployment of applications in public cloud such as AWS
   Database experience (RDBMS or NoSQL) required
   Solid understanding of Test Driven Development, JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Repository Management (Git) and designing and developing applications with RESTful Web Services
 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


   Knowledge of Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes is a plus
   Monitoring (Dynatrace, Apica, Splunk) 
   Certification in kubernetes or any assoc level in AWS is a plus
