Software Development Engineering - Advisor II
TITLE: Software Development Engineering - Advisor II
EMPLOYER: Fiserv Solutions, LLC
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (and various unanticipated locations throughout the US subject to authorization from management)
DUTIES: Build modern micro services on a cloud platform in Java. Work closely with the Solution Architect to design solutions, ensuring standard approaches are taken and new applications fit into the existing web platform. Work closely with Product Development to identify and analyze functional requirements and implement software solutions to meet those needs. Create high performance applications using Spring Boot and leverage modern streaming and cloud architectures. Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and quality of the application and act as a subject matter expert for the product. Ensure that the application is in a good state and continuously fix upcoming security vulnerabilities or defects. Work with the production support team in case of issues and work together with the team on resolutions of issues.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years in any job title involving Java development experience. Prior experience must include: 4 years of web application design and development; 4 years working with high performance applications using multi-threading and pooling; 4 years developing automated tests using mock frameworks, virtual services, performance testing and pipeline tools; 4 years working with Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and RESTful APIs; 2 years working with Docker; and 2 years developing microservices in a cloud architecture.
