Job Overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Investor Relations Associate to join our team. This position will manage day-to-day communications with prospective investors in our active capital raise (invest.terracycle.com), while also supporting communications with current investors. 


The primary mission will be to proactively engage prospective investors, answer their questions, remove friction from the investment process, and help them confidently complete their investments.  The Investor Relations Associate is expected to deliver an exceptional, high-touch service experience that encourages existing investors to reinvest, and to drive a positive experience for current and prospective investors. 


This is a highly visible, measurable position where clear communication skills, persistence, judgment, and follow-through directly impact the success of our business.  The position involves a high volume of daily investor outreach and relies on the strengths below for success: 

  • Exceptional communicator: Demonstrates professional communication on the phone and possess sharp, professional, and persuasive writing skills for email correspondence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct high-volume, professional phone calls and send tailored emails to prospective investors.
  • Build rapport with investors to answer any questions they may have and guide them through the investment process.
  • Consistently and persistently follow up with prospective investors while maintaining a professional, helpful, and investor-first experience.
  • Identify and resolve friction points for prospective investors, working directly with company leadership to evolve our offering. 
  • Meticulously document all interactions, follow-ups, and investor statuses within our CRM. 
  • Offer suggestions to test and improve investor messaging, outreach strategies, call scripts, email campaigns, and the overall investor journey using creativity and data.
  • Success in this role will be directly measured against key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, reinvestment rates, and response times.
Requirements:

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Business, Finance, Communications, and related fields are desired, but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated achievement in entrepreneurship, leadership, sales, customer services, or a related field
  • Ability to learn investment structures, financial terminology, customer relations management software, and investor pipeline management
  • Ability to work effectively and independently while collaborating closely with a broader fundraising and leadership team
