JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:

Private Banker 4's coordinates the integrated delivery of wealth products and services to high net worth clients for investments, borrowing & liability management, risk management & insurance, estate planning & trust services, which are delivered through holistic financial planning. Private Bankers ensure the company's credit quality standards are met or exceeded and work towards generating new business.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates marketing events that promote Private Wealth Management capabilities for internal associates and external client prospects and centers of influence
  • Develops and grows a portfolio of important revenue generating client relationships
  • Delivers object and sound personal financial planning and advisory concepts to defined Private Wealth Management segments
  • Generate external sales with new clients and screens leads following established policies and procedures to attain new revenue generating relationships
  • Provides lending services to Private Wealth Management clients, and is responsible for loan recommendation and structuring negotiations with the borrower and internal officers
  • Responsible for loan structure based on client needs and in accordance with bank policy, then packages and presents loan proposals to appropriate approval authority
  • Gather and analyzes financial statements of prospective borrowers and makes recommendations to Senior Lenders/Credit Concurrence Officers regarding approval
  • Ensures loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and assures timely loan closing and funding activities
  • Negotiates terms and conditions of loans with clients
  • Maintains current financial statements on borrowers & guarantors and prepares comprehensive credit files
  • Responsible for managing risk within the loan and deposit portfolios by closely monitoring delinquencies, overdrafts, documentation and other signs of credit deterioration
  • Actively monitors loan portfolio to ensure credit quality within the current and prospective loan portfolio
  • Works closely with clients to identify financial needs through a consultative sales approach and review to provide appropriate solutions
  • Accountable for attainment of goals set forth by management for revenue growth and production on loans, deposits, wealth management fee and financial plans
  • Teams with partners throughout the bank to generate and make referrals to align clients with the appropriate channel
  • Provides ongoing relationship servicing with current clients to maintain goodwill and gain additional business
  • Promotes and cross-sells other establishment products and services as appropriate to client requirements
  • Monitors, maintains, and updates sales activity, pipeline and other pertinent information using sales management tools
  • Stays active in community and professional groups as a means of potential client acquisition
  • Stay abreast of and remain in compliance with all applicable regulatory guidelines that apply to these functions
  • Participate in all applicable committees as assigned as a member and/or participant to ensure knowledge relative to these activities is communicated to all levels of management
  • Remain in tune with industry best practices in regard to all functions

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

None

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Business or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management and/or Wholesale Banking required.
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 license within 18 months of employment and be in good standing. A current Series 63 and 65 registration can substitute for the Series 66
  • Must currently possess or be able to obtain a multi-state Life and Health Insurance license within 18 months of employment and be in good standing
  • CFP, CWS or similar wealth management industry designation or the ability to obtain within 24 months of hire is preferred

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
  • Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
  • Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an "undue hardship" then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
