Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality SHEQ Internal Auditor to support quality assurance initiatives within a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. This role is responsible for conducting internal audits, evaluating warehouse processes, verifying inventory quality, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable quality standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct internal audits of warehouse operations, inventory handling, and distribution processes to ensure compliance with company procedures and quality standards.
  • Evaluate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities while performing risk-based and random sampling of incoming materials and stored inventory.
  • Verify packaging integrity, labeling accuracy, barcoding, and shipment documentation to ensure customer and purchase order requirements are met.
  • Identify non-conformities, document audit findings, and recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve operational performance.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership, inventory control, shipping, and customer service teams to resolve quality concerns, support root cause analysis, and implement process improvements.
  • Maintain detailed audit documentation, assist with audit scheduling and quality training materials, and monitor calibration and maintenance of quality-related equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while following all company and OSHA safety standards.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Quality Management or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of quality auditing experience, preferably within a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional audit reports.
  • ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification or similar auditing certification is preferred but not required.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk throughout a warehouse and distribution facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperature conditions.
