Job description

Affinity Financial Strategies (AFS), in partnership with GP Financial Services, is seeking applicants for a Wealth Coordinator or Associate Wealth Advisor. GP Financial Services provides financial planning, investment, and insurance services to existing clients, credit union members, and local communities. GP Financial Services operates as an independent wealth management office with over 30 years of experience in financial planning and investment management for individuals and families.

The role involves supporting a Senior Wealth Advisor through administrative and sales tasks. Responsibilities include working with existing clients and credit union members, assisting in the delivery of comprehensive financial strategies tailored to individual needs and goals, managing marketing activities, preparing files, and handling client relationship management.

Qualified candidates are expected to have at least two years of relevant financial advisory experience, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and participate in client meetings alongside the Senior Wealth Advisor, contributing to financial strategy development.
  • Share responsibilities for office administration and support ongoing client relationship management to ensure operational continuity and client engagement.
  • Create and maintain client files according to compliance standards.
  • Promote and market the firm’s investment and insurance services both internally and externally.
  • Assist Credit Union staff with referrals for investment and estate solutions, in accordance with the Credit Union Act.
  • Remain current on trends in financial planning, investment, and insurance solutions; maintain broad product knowledge and familiarity with industry competitors and developments.

The position is based at the GP Financial Services/AFS office in Regina, SK. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and relationship-based service. Candidates should have completed or be enrolled in relevant post-secondary programs; completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) is preferred. Successful candidates must meet the education requirements to become an CIRO licensed Investment Representative within an agreed timeframe. A Financial Planning designation or enrollment in a related program is considered beneficial.
