Description

Student Records Coordinator

Bargaining Unit/Salary Range: MSEA Support Services; Level 12; Starting Salary: $20.33/hour.

Job Summary: This position performs office support and a wide variety of complex clerical work of an administrative nature in managing office support services for the Office of Student Data. This position is the secondary contact person for walk-in traffic for the Enrollment Center, which includes Admissions, Financial Aid, and the Registrar, as well as providing coverage for incoming telephone inquiries. The position is responsible for accurately performing student registration activities, maintaining the integrity of all student-related data, and managing all student records and recordkeeping duties. This is a full-time, in-person position that requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in business management or other related field with one year or more of experience with administrative and secretarial support, experience in an independent role as an office assistant/manager or closely related responsibilities are essential. Experience in records management is desired.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet with a diverse public.
  • Knowledge of current office and records management practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a high-level of attention to detail and the ability to be accurate.

  • Ability to remain calm in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all staff and faculty.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision and have problem-solving skills.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Previous work with students in a community college setting.
  • Experience using a Student Information System (SIS) or other CRM, preferably Jenzabar and/or Anthology.
