Creates data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets. Analysis may have many applications such as to address a business issue or provide a competitive advantage for the organization. Requires strong statistical and data visualization skills. Responsible for overseeing the collection, storage, and interpretation of data for businesses. Duties include sifting through data points to create organized categories, comparing data points to current company processes and writing reports to meet business needs.

Create Power BI report(s), data models, data collection, data analysis, and tracking data trends.

Work closely with business stakeholders to identify business requirements and provide solutions to a variety of technical problems.

Identifying relevant data sources for business needs, collecting structured and unstructured data, sourcing missing data, building predictive models, and enhancing the data collection process.

Responsible for data integrity, metrics, data analytics, and SharePoint administrator

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability- Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.

Problem Solving- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

Discretion/Latitude- Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results.

Liaison - Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on data projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Basic Qualifications:

Senior Principal Data Scientist

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Data Science) or 10+ years of Quality Control experience;

Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a special program access clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Data Science or a related field.

Experience in technical writing skills, Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way.

Analytical and problem-solving skills.

Experience with machine learning and AI.

Familiarity with data management tools.

Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.

Excellent attention to detail.

Functional knowledge of production control systems (ePIC, Solumina, Costpoint, TipQA, Mfg/etc.

Experience or certification: Microsoft Power BI reporting, and data analytics.

Experience or certification: Microsoft SharePoint design or administration.

Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
