Lecturer in Computer Science and Engineering

The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of California, Riverside has a need for part-time or full-time Lecturers needed for the 2025/2026 academic year to teach courses in the following areas: Introductory Computer Science, Data Structures, Design and Analysis of Algorithms, Software and Information Systems, Technical Communications and Software Engineering.
Qualifications include a M.S. or a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or a related field, prior teaching experience is preferred.
The initial annual salary for candidates with an MS degree is $84,752 and for candidates with a Ph.D. in Computer Science, the salary is $104,223. Salary for the Fall quarter appointment begins October 1, 2025, and ends December 31, 2025; the academic service period for the Fall quarter is September 22, 2025, through December 12, 2025. Salary for Winter quarter appointment begins January 1, 2026, and ends March 31, 2026; the academic service period for Winter is January 2, 2026, through March 20, 2026. Salary for Spring quarter appointment begins April 1, 2026, and ends June 30, 2026; the academic service period for the Spring quarter begins March 25, 2026, and ends June 12, 2026. Lecturer appointments are eligible for renewal depending on need, funding, and performance.
