Duties
Support the goals and mission of the college; provide quality one-to-one and small group tutoring to students. Follow guidelines and current tutoring philosophy including the pursuit of CRLA certification. Communicate with staff and coordinator/manager. Conduct small workshops as needed; audit classes as needed. Assist greeter with duties including scheduling and data collection.
Education/Experience
Minimum of an Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree, or Master's degree preferred. Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
Specialty in Biology 100 -200 level; knowledge of Anatomy & Physiology (ability to teach BIO 181 & 182) required, Chemistry 100 -200 level, Math 100 - 200 level all a plus.
Qualifications
Tutors must be sensitive to the needs of students at all levels. Being able to coordinate efforts with other tutors/staff is a must, along with having an excellent work ethic. Tutors must be willing to work in-person via college guidelines, and online tutoring skills are expected. Specialty in Biology needed, along with some knowledge of A & P, Chemistry preferred; ability to coordinate efforts with specialists and faculty.
