Qualifications:
1. Develop a plasmid construct for CRISPR-Cas9
2. Tissue culture of rice seeds
3. Agrobacterium-based transformation
4. Analyze the gene-edited lines using Sanger sequencing
5. Evaluate the mutant lines for resistance to blast isolates
