Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Organizes and supervises respiratory care operations and staff for an assigned second, third or weekend shift. As a working supervisor, routinely provides routine and advanced respiratory care and cardiology procedures to critical and non-critical patients.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Required:
  • Associate Degree in Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from an approved school of respiratory care technology.
  • Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Registered or Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner (CRT will have 3 months to obtain RRT).
  • Thorough knowledge of procedures and techniques applicable to respiratory care gained through acute care experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Candidate must demonstrate organizational, communications and leadership skills, through charge therapist experience for at least 1 year.
  • BLS certification required; renewal required bi-annually.
  • NRP certification.
  • Possess a valid NC Respiratory Care License.

Preferred:RRT in Respiratory Therapy.
