Warehouse Associate II

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Warehouse Associate II is responsible for moving, storing, processing, and disposing of warehouse inventory and preparing salvage material for sale. The Warehouse Associate II is expected to be courteous and professional while upholding the Goodwill values of -Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES, AND DUTIES

Sort goods to determine items to be bundled as salvage

Wire bundle, weigh and mark items

Safely operate the baling machine to bind salvage for sale the compactor, and forklift as required

Load and unload trucks, move items in inventory to appropriate areas and use a pallet jack and/or forklift as necessary
Maintain the forklift, ensuring maintenance is up to date and clean
Submit work for any major services needed for the forklift
Organize the warehouse by moving product
Break down cardboard boxes and place them in the designated area
Place all bins in designated areas
Maintain a clean, organized work area that is presentable and meets agency standards
Comply with all department and agency policies, procedures, and regulations
Adhere to safety and loss prevention procedures to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment, and inventory
Embrace the core values of the agency in the spirit in which the agency operates at work and in the community
Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals
Perform other duties as assigned


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Ability to sort and classify product lines in accordance with company procedures

Able to pass pre-employment criminal background check and Drug/Alcohol screen

Ability to communicate effectively with internal employees and external customers

Ability to work well with others in a respectful and collaborative work manner

Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
Forklift certified


PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS


Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, stoop, bend, and crouch for extended periods

Weather conditions - variable - including extreme heat and cold, may work outside for
extended periods

Ability to work in a humid and/or dusty environment

Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. or more with 2-person assistance
