Job description


Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Hotel Housekeeping Trainer helps train all new associates within the Housekeeping Department, maintaining all brand standards of service, cleanliness, and observing the standard loops protocol. You will report to the Hotel Housekeeping Manager.
Start Rate: $19.00 per hour | Full-Time | Day Shift
Primary Tasks:
1. You will train all new associates hired within the Housekeeping Department with a full knowledge of all brand standards, loops process, SOPs and protocols implemented throughout the training process.
2. Implement all biohazard protocols.
3. You may perform all housekeeping responsibilities necessary including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning guest rooms while training new hires.
4. Update all new hire information into folder/computer.
5. You will complete graded inspections, training tests, and sequence for new hires.
6. Set up access for new hires into the Housekeeping key box.
7. Follow and train all required standard operating procedures and protocols.
8. Keep all training materials and documentation up to date.
9. You will motivate associates to ensure and outstanding productivity.
10. Maintain supplies for efficient operation of department.
11. You will advise associates of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide retraining, coaching, and counseling.
12. Document and report all items in need of repair work orders.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations that they undergo. This includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods. Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic repair. General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry.
  • Understand government public health regulations.
  • Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
