Job description

Job Description A well-established law firm is seeking a General Liability Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Alabama. This position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of complex litigation matters while representing both local and national clients. The role is ideal for a motivated litigator who is looking to grow within a collaborative and respected general liability practice. Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage general liability matters throughout the state of Alabama
  • Independently handle a full litigation caseload from inception through resolution
  • Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and expert depositions
  • Prepare witnesses for depositions and trial
  • Draft, review, and analyze discovery requests and responses
  • Prepare pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related filings
  • Handle court filings and service of documents, including e-filing
  • Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely billing records
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve client objectives
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • General liability
    • Product liability
    • Premises liability
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to practice in Alabama
  • Demonstrated experience with motion practice and depositions
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while working both independently and collaboratively
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
