Company Overview
CME Associates, Inc. (CME) is an engineering technology firm providing comprehensive Construction Materials Evaluation and Technical Support Services. Our experts specialize in geotechnical engineering, construction materials evaluation, special inspections, geological sciences, subsurface exploration, and investigative engineering.
Summary
Conduct concrete and asphalt material testing at producer facilities in accordance with established testing methods, specifications, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
  • Test construction materials such as concrete and asphalt for quality control/quality assurance in material plants
  • Read construction documents and specifications and correctly interpret test results
  • Record and report test results in a clear, concise manner
  • Complete each testing assignment accurately and in accordance with the appropriate standards
  • Turn in field data records and completed reports for each project daily
  • Communicate regularly with direct supervisor to provide updates on project details
  • Complete continuing education and preparation for additional certifications

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required
  • Desirable Certifications for this position are ACI Grade 1 Concrete, NYCMA QC/QA Certification; CME will provide full support in obtaining these certifications if do not currently possess
  • Possess ability to maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers and clients through clear communication and proactive progress reporting
  • Familiarity with construction materials, procedures and documents a plus
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license
  • Must possess reliable transportation and current/required automotive insurance coverage

Compensation: $20 - 25/hour
